Our Marananga vineyard's take on Spanish Tempranillo, reveals layered Mediterranean freshness and fruit flavours - quinces and pomegranates and cherries.
A stylish, medium bodied red that works well with succulent charcoal grilled quail or lazy Sunday afternoon tapas.
Very bright, vibrant ruby red.
Fresh cranberries, slight smoke and vanilla. Lifted and enticing.
Medium bodied, lovely smooth finish and good flavour length. The major fruit flavour is black cherries. This wine is great drinking with or with- out food, delicious. Certainly a style of Tempranillo that reminds me of some of the younger, fresher contemporary wines from Spain. Great with a variety of courses, chorizo sausage would be an excellent match.
There is a quiet element to this wine, which is always pleasing to see. Aromas of cranberries and pomegranate plus ripe, fleshy fruit which is powerful yet restrained. The palate is medium-bodied and fleshy with plush fruit and savoury undertones, and the acidity is perfectly appropriate for the intensity of the fruit. Balanced drying tannins. A truly lovely, harmonious tempranillo.
